Dan's over 30 years in the industry provides him with a wealth of knowledge to provide his clients. While developing wealth management strategies for individuals, corporations and nonprofit organizations, Dan focuses on asset allocation analysis and comprehensive financial planning. He strives to build long-lasting client relationships based on a foundation of respect, the highest quality of service and a complete understanding of each client's individual needs.
Dan holds a bachelor's degree in business from Buena Vista University (BVU) in Storm Lake, Iowa. He is an active alumnus, serving on the Alumni Association board from 2002-2008, including two consecutive years as President. For his service, he was awarded the 2011 Henry Olson Award, Buena Vista's top Alumni Award. In 2016, he was named to the Buena Vista Board of Trustees.
Among Dan's community involvement, he is a former girls director of Minnetonka Youth Hockey Board, past president of the University of Minnesota Goal Line club, member of a football booster group, and is active in the Mount Olivet Lutheran Church. Dan and his wife Jane, have 3 children (Kelly, Annie, and Bobby) and reside in Shorewood, MN.
In memory of their daughter, Dan and Jane founded the Kelly Phillips Charitable Foundation. Kelly's foundation supports youth charities for churches, academics, and athletics. It also encourages volunteerism and promotes teen driving safety initiatives. One of the beneficiaries of Kelly's foundation is Dinomights, where Dan resides on the Board of Directors. Dinomights is an inner city youth hockey program that promotes academic, athletic, social and spiritual development to at-risk students in South Minneapolis.
