Colin joined Baird's Edina branch in 2018 after meeting teammates Daniel Phillips and Brandon Navara. Due to their likeness of upholding values in honesty, integrity and sharing a genuine passion for helping clients achieve what is important to them, The Phillips Navara Group was born in 2020. Colin concentrates on financial planning, research analysis and next gen facilitation. He is passionate about educating clients on the psychology of money and how it is essential in financial planning.
Colin began his career at Baird in 2016 as a PWM intern. He quickly recognized an opportunity to merge his entrepreneurial ideology with his business passions. His decision to become a Financial Advisor was cemented during that summer.
After graduating from Iowa State University, Colin continued at Baird as a member of the Financial Advisor Foundations Program. During these two years in the program, he studied Baird's available resources and services to help clients plan for and navigate their financial lives. Colin is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, holds his FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, and life, health and long term care insurance licenses.
In addition to spending time with family and friends, Colin enjoys playing sports, traveling, and being outdoors. He is also involved with the Young Professionals of Minneapolis and Best Buddies Minnesota. Colin currently resides in St. Paul and is married to his wife, Claire.
